Mason Bright Eliminated their return game with 4 for 4 for touchbacks, and made every kick. Big Time! James Vanderpool Was the first player in on the sack that ended the game. Had a terrific effort all night, being relentless to the football Joey DeMaioribus Is always eager to give a good look to our defense, giving an honest effort and making our team better Jesus EusebioFan favorite of our team, will do whatever it takes to help our program be successful, always stepping up to give a good look
POWAY Michael ScanlonLead our defensive efforts playing with a fast motor and making tackles/plays all over the field. Elijah Wofford Highest graded linemen of the week, played strong all night and helped the other guys out when we had some key injuries during the game, he was an offensive constant Bryton DempsterConsistent as usual comes up with huge stops all over the field, from hunting down the screen to running down a fly sweep, his presence is felt from sideline to sideline.  Patrick MacNabb A great effort player who takes a lot of pride in our special teams, making big plays in coverage and helping down a punt inside the five yard line Joe Gervasi Come up with a big hit on a timed blitz that caused a fumble, also an overall great effort performance that will find him playing more in the future Cory Morris Gave a terrific look as their stud slot receiver, catching and running the ball with urgency and making a big impact during the week Thomas Goddard Coming off an injury that had sidelined him for a number of days, he came with fresh legs and a terrific effort giving our offense fits all week with his play
SAN CLEMENTE     Jared Maffucci A two way starter that had an impact on both sides of the ball, leading the team to a huge victory Ryan Becker Made his first start at tackle and graded out better than any other offensive line.  Was great in the run and pass game and stepped up huge for our team Chandler Wachholtz Had great effort to get to the ball all night long, coming with big time tackles and stops to help keep our lead Duke Mackle Stepped up and executed very well, making sure our kicks were clean and helped do something that he has not done nearly at all this year Jared Maffucci On a fourth and goal play had a game saving effort in a knock back tackle that gave the  ball back to our offense and kept them off of the scoreboard Ben Brennan Gave an awesome effort all week leading our scout team as a running back, and is one of the premiere reasons why our defense played so well Friday night James Vanderpool Plays nearly every single defensive snap during a practice, giving a terrific look all throughout the week that shows up Friday nights with the same relentless effort
SAN PASQUAL Isaac Williams A two way starter that had an impact on both sides of the ball, and made some big plays in the special teams as well, one of our best all around football players Jake MannNearly 350 yards of total offense and 3 TDs, completing 24 passes to 9 different receivers, kept his composure and lead our team to an exciting comeback Cade Jackson In limited reps made a big impact when he was on the field, and will find himself playing more defense in the weeks to come, also played an excellent game on offense  Cory MorrisHad a couple of big returns that helped spark our come back and also had some big time catches on offense as well James Ratcliff On the onside kick at the end of the game, Rat delivered a hit that got us the ball back and one last chance to win the game Quindon Robinson Has helped our team week to week with a terrific look as a receiver, and is one of our vocal leaders during the game Cole Marting Gives an extraordinary effort during practice, giving a great look as a defensive linemen, a big contributor to the success and spirit of our team
RANCHO BERNARDO Isaac Williams Back to Back “Rock” winner, had an unbelievable game with three interceptions, leading receiver in yards, half a dozen tackles, and another 50 plus yards in punt return Duke Mackle Completed 70% of his passes with three passing Touch Downs. Also had another 60 plus yards rushing, leading our team to an exciting comeback victory. Chandler WachholtzHad 9 tackles, two sacks, a forced fumble and a game winning interception. One of our leaders of our team, and a terrific effort every time he steps onto the field. Dalton Reynolds Stepped up big in coverage and punt protection, going to be a force in our special teams for weeks to come. James Vanderpool During a punt return, hustles himself back into the wall of the return as the “head of the snake” takes a defender using great angles and good technique Mark Newman Brings his hard hat to practice every week, giving a terrific effort and always ready to give an awesome look in any capacity asked Matt GarridoGives 100 percent practice, playing a variety of positions and getting better each and every week
EL CAMINO Chandler WachholtzWas all over the field all night. Seven tackles, a sack and two tackles for loss. A terrific practice player as well as on Friday nights. Cade Jackson Had 114 yards rushing, scoring the go ahead run as well as helped Ice the game with terrific efforts in the 4 th quarter. Did an excellent job in pass protection and blocking in the open field as well. James Vanderpool Played with a relentless motor all night, coming up timely plays in the backfield when we needed them the most. Duke Mackle Delivered some terrific punts that lead to extremely valuable field position that had their offense playing on long fields nearly the whole night. Mike Scanlon Timed two terrific blitzes that each could have been hit of the week, excellent job timing the snap count and rolling his hips to deliver big time football plays. Seth Madeira Did an excellent job of displaying El Camino’s team speed, giving an excellent look as an offensive skill player. He had more production against our Defense then their whole offense did. Joe Gervasi A senior practicing and playing like a senior. Gives the some 100% look every practice, making our team better week to week.
CARLSBAD Quinn SmithMade big plays for us on both sides of the ball, coming with a couple of big time catches, great blocks all throughout the game, and playing with a motor on defense. Jared Maffucci Had over 100 all-purpose yards and about a half dozen tackles, a couple for loss. One of the best teammates and players on our team in any facet of the game. Gave a terrific effort all throughout the week as well and it showed Friday night. Andrew DeMarco One of our captains and performed like it Friday night coming up with a number of big plays on defense leading a solid defensive effort against a very good offensive team.  Thomas Bennett Had a terrific performance in our kicking game, helping secure points as our holder and coming up with huge punts that lead to terrific field positioning all night. AJ HofstetterIn a good pursuit effort AJ lays the wood running flat down the line of scrimmage causing a fumble and earning HOW honors all in the same. Jeremy Fraser A player who is continuing to make strides in his development and a lot of that success comes from the effort he is giving all throughout the week. Dalton ReynoldsOne of our seniors giving an outstanding effort all throughout the week, not only as a defensive player in our kicking game as well, giving a terrific look helping make our team better.
VISTA Bryton DempsterWas all over the field making plays in the run and pass game. Has a relentless motor and is one of our best players on our team Jake GallowayPlayed one of his best games of the year, coming up with big time blocks all over the field and two huge catches to help secure a victory Matthew Garrido Stepped up huge when we had some injuries in the secondary, leading the team in tackles, tackles for loss, and came up with a big sack as well Isaac WilliamsHad a terrific performance in all three aspects of the game. Two receiving TDs, an interception, and did an excellent job handling the punt returning duties, fielding all kicks Jake BrownBuried a defender with a text book down block, knocking him into next week, in the middle of a scoring drive. Ben BrennanTaking the majority of the snaps in our scout offense as a tail back did an excellent job pushing our defense every single day, making our team better. Seth Madeira Stepped up and played a ton of snaps at corner for us this week, giving an excellent effort and making some stand out plays.
OCEANSIDE AJ Hofstetter Played his best game of the year against the best opponent of the year. Had an excellent week of practice, playing banged up and was all over the field all night. Bruce SchramWas the highest grading offensive linemen, did an excellent job at the line of scrimmage and pulling to the second level. Played with true grit and great effort all night. Chandler WachholtzWas his usual self, flying to the ball, making tackles and checks. Establishing himself as one of the leaders of our defense and our entire team Michael Acquista Gave terrific all night, coming up with a big open field tackle, and does he job week to week all throughout our special teams James VanderpoolWhile defending a screen he did an awesome job of landing a hard hit on the QB, while his teammates covered down the back. Ryan McCormick Could win this award every single week. Is a huge contributor to the success of our program, one of our best “coaches” on staff! Jeremy Fraser Jumping in and giving an excellent look at defensive line. Has a huge upside, looking forward to seeing him continue to grow.
TORREY PINES Jake Mann Made big play after big play, running for over 200 yards and throwing for another 50 plus, scoring 2 big TDs and lead the charge to bring the board back. Cade JacksonMade great fakes, blocks, and ran hard all night long. Did an excellent job playing selfless football and helped make sure our “Train” stayed on “Track.” James Ratcliff Played one of his best defensive games of the year when we needed it most, playing a large part in orchestrating our first defensive shutout of the year. Colin NishiokaCame up with a huge onside kick recovery that lead to our second offensive touchdown, also plays a major role in our return and coverage teams on the regular. Chandler Wachholtz Giving a great effort in pursuit to the football Chandler hit one of their offensive players so hard that he made him want to quit so much that he actually just tossed the football Mark NewmanDid an excellent job mimicking their best offensive player all throughout week, having much more production in practice then their guy did in the game. Paul Nuemann Really starting to get his health back, Paul has been giving a terrific scout look as a linebacker, consistently showing up in practice as someone that you need to block
