Week 2 vs Mt Carmel

“Rock” of the Week:  Karson Lippert                                  

Had a whale of a night with 3 rushing TDs, with 155 yards on the ground and 2 catches for 17 yards as well as blocking a punt. Karson is also the first guy in on scout every single day during practice. He is “All in” and his performance proves it!

Offensive Player:  Trevor Gonzalez

A starting sophomore wide receiver, had 4 catches for 46 yards and a TD on our opening drive.  Had the highest grade amongst the WRs, plays with great focus, always does the right thing and blocks his butt off as well.        

Defensive Player: Sam Hussin 

Was active very early and often in a great defensive effort, ending up with 5 tackles, 1 sack, and 1 tackle for loss.Plays with great energy and a high motor, always quick to celebrate the success of his teammates.

Special Teams Player:   Finley Lumsden and Conrad Amburgey 

The duo of punt returners came up HUGE for us, fielding every single punt in heroic fashion.Ended up with 5 total punt returns for nearly 120 yards total.Great picture of teamwork and courage.

Hit of the Week: Isaac Scoville 

Another Maverick that plays, Offense, Defense, and Special teams, making clear impacts in all capacities.Came up with a couple of big hits, one pinning their kickoff return team inside the 5 and another on a big sack.

Kodak Offense: Ezra Sanderson 

A great teammate that is always quick to give a good look and help prepare our defense for the week as an ever growing and improving offensive linemen. 

Kodak Defense:  Chad Goto           

A fan favorite among the coaches and players.Chad will do whatever it takes to help make sure our team is prepared all week long.Gives a great effort as a defensive back, with a great attitude and effort.
